How to Make Chicken Tom Ka
1. Prepare the Packet
- Submerge the unopened Lobo Tom Ka Paste pouch in hot water for about 1 minute so the paste softens.
- Cut open the packet; the paste will come out easily.
2. Start the Soup
- Boil 1 cup (240 ml) coconut milk in a pot.
- Add about 300 g chicken meat together with the contents of the packet.
- Cook until the chicken is well done.
3. Add Water & Simmer
- Add 2 cups (480 ml) water.
- Simmer gently until the chicken is tender and flavours are well blended.
4. Finish & Serve
- Add one more cup (240 ml) coconut milk and about 100 g sliced mushrooms.
- Bring back to a gentle boil; the soup is now ready to serve.
- Adjust taste with fish sauce and lime juice, then garnish with fresh coriander and chilli if desired.
